Communication from the Officiating Protector of Emigrants, Calcutta, with enclosures, reporting on the proposals made by Dr Bakewell, Health Officer of Shipping in Trinidad, and submitting proposed new dietary and medical scales. Includes tables showing the provisions for chips carrying Indian emigrants to British and Foreign colonies; scales of rice and flour diets; nutritious values of the labour diets given in Bengal jails; scales of medical comforts, medicines, instruments, and appliances for hospitals and dispensaries onboard ship. Plus correspondence thereon.
