Bombay:

• Report by Dr W F Knapp, Superintendent, Contagious Diseases Act, Bombay, plus comments thereon by A Crawford, Municipal Commissioner for the City of Bombay [Sep 1870]
• Report by Dr W F Knapp on the working of the Act from 01 May 1870 to 30 Apr 1871, including details of the preventive establishment; statistics of arrests, discharges and registrations; admissions to lock hospital; venereal disease statistics.
• Comments thereon by Dr A Wright, Inspector General, Indian Medical Department.
• Remarks of the Municipal Commissioner, Bombay, plus extracts from the Proceedings of the Government of Bombay, plus Resolution on the working of the Act and the levying of registration fees.

Madras:

• Communication from the Government of Fort St. George regarding the Act [Sep 1871].
• Report by E Balfour, Acting Inspector General of the Indian Medical Department, Madras, on the effect of the Act in the garrison of Fort St. George and in the Civil population [Sep 1871], including admission rates to lock hospitals; venereal disease infection rates; and cost of preventive establishment.
• Report of the Health Officer, Madras, on the working of the Act for the two years ending 31 Mar 1871 [Apr 1871], including registration statistics.

Bengal:

• Letters forwarded from the Lieutenant-Governor to the Government of India, commenting on the reports [Oct 1871]
• Report by A J Payne, Superintendent of Lock Hospitals, on the working of the Act, including statistics for registration and examination; rates of sexually transmitted disease; numbers admitted to the medical college, general hospital , dispensaries and lock hospital.
• Report by Stuart Hogg, Commissioner of Police, Calcutta, including table showing number of registrations, examinations and failed attendance; and lock hospital registers. Plus Appendix A, Statement of arrests and prosecutions under the Act of 1868 in the towns and suburbs of Calcutta during Jan-Aug 1871; Appendix B, Statement of arrests and prosecutions against brothel-keepers under the Act... in the towns and suburbs of Calcutta during Jan-Aug 1871.

Bombay, part II:

• Report by W Thom, Deputy Inspector General of Hospitals, Indian Medical Department, Presidency Divsion and Bombay Marine, submitted tabular statement showing admissions and deaths from venereal diseases among the Britsh and Native forces and Civil population of Bombay; plus abstract of opinions received from various practitioners in Bombay as to the results of the working of the Act.
• Statement by T G Hewlett, Health Officer, Bombay, regarding the working of the act [Oct 1871], with accompanying correspondence.

Government of India request the opinion of the Lieutenant-Governor on the recommendations made by the Sanitary Commissioner.
