Genre/Subject Matter:
View of the durbar held on board R.I.M.S. Argonaut, while the vessel was anchored off Sharajah. Lord Curzon and his staff are seated on a raised platform at the end of the deck, before an audience of European and Arab officials. The deck is covered with a canopy of flags, with ornate textiles covering almost every visible surface. The Shaikhs are seated at left and centre and face the dais.
