Group portrait of Sir John Lawrence and Council, photographed at Calcutta or Simla. The Viceroy is seated behind a table, his staff arranged round him. Duplicate at Photo 28/2 (1), where the identifications appear to be less trustworthy. This print is accompanied by a letterpress caption label which states 'The photo was taken in the latter end of 1865'.
