Letterpress sheet identifying the sitters in the Burmese Mission to Simla seen in print 214. The text reads as follows: 'In the middle of the group, in an easy chair, is the Ambassador, the Kyoukmyoung Myoza Atwinwoon. On his right is the Wemmasoot Myoza Woondouk, or Under Secretary of State, doing duty as chief Secretary to the Embassy. Next to the Under Secretary, in more gorgeous apparel than his fellows, is the Toung Taya ngazeh Bo, Colonel of the 'South hundred and fifty' Regiment of Guards, and beyond him again, at the extreme left of the picture, is the principal Assiatnt Secretary, Oo Mya. On the Ambassador's left is Mr R.H. Pilcher C.S., a Deputy Commissioner in the British Burma Commission, the Political Officer with the Embassy. Next to him is the Thanjet Woondouk, or Under Secretary of State, doing duty as second Secretary to the Embassy. On his left, at the extreme right of the picture, is Oo Pouktoon, 2nd Assistant Secretary'.
The Burmese Embassy from King Thibaw to the Government of India remained at Simla from 30 April to 31 August 1882. For papers relating to the unsuccessful treaty negotiations, see IOR/L/PS/20/D180.
