Curzon stands on a richly patterned carpet before a painted studio backdrop depicting an arch and various floral, textile and architectural motifs. He holds a bicorn (cocked hat) in his left hand, his right resting on the sword at his waist.
A letterpress caption page preceding the print reads:
'His Excellency The Right Honourable George Nathaniel Baron Curzon, P. C., G. M. S. I., G. M. I. E. Viceroy and Governor-General of India.'
