View at Mohammerah [Khorramshahr] on the banks of the Karun river. The shoreline extends from lower right to centre left. Several small canoes are pulled up along the shore, while larger boats lie at anchor left of centre, with another dhow under sail on the right. Along the distant horizon the opposite bank of the river can be seen.
