pp 535-601. Dispatch to the Secretary of State regarding the working of Quarantine Rules under Act I of 1870 in the ports of Burma and Madras, comprising:
- Communications and reports forwarded by the Chief Commissioner of British Burma, including comments from Surgeons, Health Officers and port officials.
- Communications and reports forwarded by the Government of Madras, including memoranda and reports from Health Officers, port officials, and local administrators, plus Government Resolutions thereon.
- Copy notice of the Revised Quarantine Rules, dated Simla 1872, and a further revision dated Dec 1878; copy dispatch from the Secretary of State forwarding copy of the Intendance Générale Sanitaire D'Egypte; Minute of the Medical Officer of the Local Government Board, enclosing notices on quarantine circulated to British ports.
Plus Resolution thereon by the Government of India, and comment by the Secretary of State, noting that the quarantine rules for ports in Burma and Madras are henceforth suspended.
