Panoramic view in three sections. A further note in by Skrine in French on the reverse notes that owing to dust blown in from the Taklamakan this distant view of the mountains is rarely seen, perhaps a dozen times a year. In order to obtain these photographs, Skrine used slow fine grain plates with a strong graduated filter which necessitated an exposure of 6-8 minutes for each section.
