Temple with towered roof, now in ruins, Garhwa, Allahabad District. Photographer:Joseph Daviditch Melik Beglar
- Scope & Content:
-
General view, with mandapa in foreground, and partially collapsed sanctuary tower beyond. Described in Alexander Cunningham, Report for the year 1871-72 (A.S.I. vol. III, Calcutta, 1873), pp. 57-58: 'The only existing temple stands in the south-west corner of the enclosure. As all the statues have been removed from the outside as well as the inside of the temple, there is nothing to show to whom it was dedicated...'
