Scope & Content:

Cunningham writes: 'I next [after Bhitargaon] visited Kosam on the Jumna, the ancient Kosambi, where I dug up several Jain sculptures, and obtained a curious brass seal inscribed with two lines of Gupta characters...' (Tours of Major-General A. Cunningham, Director General, Archaeological Survey of India, in 1877-78 and 1878-79. India Home Proceedings, Archaeology, IOR/P/1501, p. 28). He does not here specifically mention these sculptures.

Now in the Indian Museum, Calcutta. Described in detail in Alexander Cunningham, Report of Tours in Bundelkhand and Malwa in 1874-75 and 1876-77 (A.S.I. vol. X, Calcutta, 1880), p. 3.
