pp 341-56. The Government of Bombay submit report and copy despatches regarding their re-introduction of the Contagious Diseases Act. Incudes Report of the Acting Sanitary Commissioner for Bombay on the prevalence of venereal disease and the necessary measures to prevent it; copy Resolution of the Government thereon; and copy petition from local clergy and other inhabitants protesting the re-introduction of the Act.
Plus minute thereon by the Governor of Bombay, and copy communication by the Government of India to the Secretary of State, announcing the decision not to undertake further legislation in support of the Act.
