Photograph of mica hill near Jabal Nakhsh (300-400 yards ['yds'] north of Jabal Nakhsh) in Qatar. The title is inscribed on the verso of the item, together with a further description, which states where and when the photograph was taken, and gives additional topographical information.
The photograph was sent by Ernest Vincent Packer, Manager, Petroleum Concessions Limited, Bahrain to Lieutenant-Colonel Percy Gordon Loch, Political Resident, Bahrain. Packer's covering letter, dated 17 March 1937, is on folio 133 of IOR/R/15/2/160. Packer adds in the letter: 'the mica hill is easily seen from some 5 miles away when approaching Jabal Naksh by car from the North or North-East and rather masks Jabal Nakhsh'.
