Portrait of a young boy seated on the ground with two lion cubs.
'I was yesterday working in the Zoological Gardens, and tried two young lions three weeks old, which the keeper brought out for me and put on the grass in the open garden-his little boy held them as well as he could, and a pretty group was formed of the Boy with the two lions (about the size of cats) on his lap.' [from a series of letters from Llewelyn to his father regarding the outings in Bristol.]
