Caption note reads in full: 'This is a Burmese arch, on Soolay Pagoda Road, south of the Pagoda, erected for the coronation celebration of King Edward VII, at Rangoon, on 1st January 1903. The picture on top is that of Lady Fryer, wife of the Lieut. Governor of Burma. The view on the other side shows Sir Fred. Fryer.'
