-
Harley MS 110, ff. 1 and 56 contain fragments of a gradual with musical notation made in the mid-eleventh century, possibly at the Old Minster, Winchester (Bell, Music (2001), p. 59). The gradual appears to have been trimmed from its original dimensions to form endleaves for Harley MS 110, ff. 2r-55v (Rankin, 'Music books' (2012), p. 500). The music may have been added in a different hand from the main text (Hartzell, Catalogue (2006), p. 278).
Decoration: The initial 'L' painted in blue (f. 1v); the initial 'L' painted in red (f. 56v).
