The salmon fishermen work on undisturbed at Cruden Bay. Photographer: Godwin, Fay
- Scope & Content:
-
Inscription: Inscribed on verso: '2401-4-29'.
Genre: Landscape Photography
The hull of a large boat is to the right, with a small fishing boat and net to the left. A piece of paper is adhered to the reverse, which reads ' Peterhead 4 4" / One of the many huge costs to the oil industry is concealing the pipelines. BP's pipeline coming ashore at Cruden Bay is completely camouflaged and the salmon fishermen work on undisturbed - 'so long as the pipe doesn't fracture'. The reception facilities and relief tanks are set well back from the shore'. Published on page 31 of ‘The Oil Rush’ (London: Quartet Books, 1976).
