An area of the peat bog with a ditch running up to the skyline; froth is in the lower foreground and a layer of clay above the waterline on the left embankment. A Post-It note has been attached to the front of the print and reads: ‘Reprint softer [crossed out], burning in sky holding back dark tones’. Extremely close version to image published on page 74 of ‘Thorne Moors’ (St Albans: The Sumach Press, 1991). Image size 140 x 173 mm.
