Twelve different sepia toned prints that come from the same roll of film and are of people who work in the area; they were taken for the exhibition ‘A Perfect Republic of Shepherds’ that was held at The Wordsworth Trust, Grasmere, in 1997.
They include:
1-2 Christopher Benson with his sons Isaac, Sam and Jonathan. Taken in their farm’s courtyard at Langdale. Similar to image published in 'Landmarks: A Survey' (Stockport: Dewi Lewis Publishing, 2001) p.85.
3-7 Bobby Troughton and his wife. Images of him sitting on a tractor (similar to print chosen for ‘Landmarks’ exhibition, 2001) and standing with his wife.
8-9 Bob Orrell and Jean Thompson, Ennerdale. The couple standing in front of a stone single-storey building
10 Jonnie and Edna Vickers, Ennerdale. The couple with their two dogs stand outside the porch to their house.
11-12 David Vickers, Ennerdale. Standing in a field by a stone barn.
