The sun is about to emerge from a cloud and the sky looks as if the photograph was taken at dusk. Published in ‘Romney Marsh and the Royal Military Canal' (London: Wildwood House, 1980) p.28 and in ‘Land’ (London: Heinemann, 1985) p.87.
