Collection of 54 loose, mainly uncaptioned prints (the majority mounted on card), now arranged in a post-bound album, with some prints inserted in melinex sleeves. The collection comprises studio portraits of Viscount Cave from various periods of his career and news agency photographs recording his professional activities (as Home Secretary 1916-19, Lord Chancellor 1922-24). A number of the photographs are duplicated in Add.62509. Subjects include: George Cave electioneering in Kingston Market, Cave’s mother in old age, Viscount Cave opening the Old Merchant Taylors’ Sports Club, Teddington, his inauguration as Chancellor of Oxford University, Viscount Cave and the Earl of Reading at a Guildhall luncheon for the American Legation, the Prime Minister Sir Stanley Baldwin unveiling the Cave Memorial at Richmond, Re-opening of the Law Courts by Lord Cave as Lord Chancellor, group at the opening of R
