Photograph album containing 160 prints, compiled by Marjorie E. Ussher and recording her life as governess to the families of Brigadier Alexander Dickson Stirling (1886-1961) RAMC and Begum Wali-ud-Dowla from 1934-43 and in the Women's Auxiliary Service (Burma) from 1943-45. The album includes the following subjects:
CHAKRATA (1934) The Stirling family bungalow at Chakrata, portrait snapshots of the Stirling family and friends, and views of surrounding country.
JUBBULPORE (1934-36) The Stirling family bungalow at 102 Victoria Road, the Jubbulpore Club, the Empire Cinema, Indian street vendors, family snapshots, views of the Marble Rocks, Allahabad Bank, the Bazaar, the Cecil Hotel.
MEERUT (1935) Proclamation Parade.
BARRACKPORE (1936) House at 18 Riverside, views of the River Hugli.
