Tagi Raja [at Jamiri]. Photographer: Kennedy, Robert Siggins
- Scope & Content:
-
Genre: Portrait Photography

Kalor was wearing a blue silk robe and a Tibetan hat of exactly the same pattern as that worn by Tagi. I found out that these garments and hats are presented to the Aka chiefs periodically by the Tibetans. I was surprised at Kalor's house, it is a very large one, about 180 feet long 30 feet broad solidly built of dressed timber and roofed entirely with corrugated iron brought from Tezpur. I stayed some days at Kalor's village and established most excellent relations...'
