[Lady Canning's Grave, Barrackpore.] Photographer: Unknown
- Scope & Content:
-
Genre: Architectural Photography
General view of the grave, standing in a rather overgrown site at Barrackpore. Owing the neglect and the effects of the Bengal climate, the original monument was removed to St Paul's Cathedral, Calcutta in 1873 and later still to its present location in the porch of St John's Church, Calcutta. The grave seen here is the replica built on the original site at Barrackpore.
