- Scope & Content:
-
This manuscript contains the last page of a copy of Ailred of Rievaulx's Vita S Edwardi Regis et Confessoris (Bibliotheca Hagiographica Latina 2423) (f. 58*r). It is followed by an imperfect copy of the papal commissioners' report on the sanctity of Bishop Hugh of Lincoln, which an early modern page inserted into the manuscript at f. 58, incorrectly identifies as Gerald of Wales' Vita Hugonis Epsicopi. Another inserted page contains Latin text, signed by Simonds D'Ewes (f. 67*r), who also touched up some of the words at the end of the text (f. 67r).
Decoration: 1 large initial in red and blue (f. 58*v); some letters highlighted in red (f. 58*r).
