Pink magnolia

Flowering branch of a magnolia tree. Branch nodose, light brown, with sparse alternate elliptic leaves with entire margins, mostly present on the right twig. At the end of the twigs, small elongated gems. On the left: alternate flowers, one fully bloomed, four small elongated closed buds, one partially open bud, with sight of the pink petals, and one laterally facing flower. The flower has nine, obovate pink-fuchsia petals, with longitudinal striation. The petals sit on a brown-yellow sepal structure. Lower right: dissected view of three elongated and pointy sepals, light brown-yellowish in colour, six petals surrounding the style, showing numerous sinuous dark fuchsia stamens on a scaly thick pedicel, with a thick style protruding twice the length from the centre of the stamens. The style is green dotted with dark fuchsia marks. Three additional front facing petals are depicted on the right.
