Two twigs divide from a main leafless, light brown branch. The twigs present alternate, oblanceolate dark green leaves, with entire margins and pinnate veins. A few, smaller and light green leaves are present at the top of each twig. Along each twig, several cyme inflorescences, with small white flowers, either bloomed, and depicted both front and lateral-facing, or still enclosed in elongated, pointy light green-pale yellow buds. Two flowers on the right twig have brown petals, which appears to be paint rather than stain. Lower left: dissected view of the flower, including the pedicel showing four thin bracts, a stellate four sepal structure with a long stamen, and five oblong petals. Lower right: dissected view of the fruit capsule, depicted on a separated rectangular sheet of paper, attached to the painting through a nail. The capsule has four longitudinal sections, each with internal seeds depicted; one of these section is depicted on its own on the left, and a horizontally cut seeds is depicted further on its right.
