Flowering and fruiting branches of a green pomegranate plant. Woody, brown branch, dividing widely laterally in numerous branchlets. Clustered leaves, elliptic with entire margins and alternate veins. Pale yellow and white stellate flowers arise from the middle of the leaves clusters. One erect, thick pistil protrude from the middle of the flower, and purple stamens are visible between each petal. Lower right: small separate twig bearing one berry fruit, depicted dissected with upper half attached to the twig through a thick, woody pedicel. Lower half showing internal white flesh and seeds, sketched. Fruit skin pale greenish-yellowish, ridged, with small terminal crown of sepals. One black seed depicted dissected further to the right.
