Inscribed above in Persian: ‘tasvir-i husn shaghl-i chaupar bazi’ (a picture of a beauty ‘playing chaupar)’; numbered 43 in Persian inventory note.
Gouache with gold; on an album leaf with inner navy blue and gilt floral border, outer gilt-sprinkled border with gold cartouche containing the descriptive inscription.
