The elephant is driving down on the tiger with its tusks and knees as the rider uses a lance to spear the tiger’s side. The tiger resists with claws and teeth; green background.
Note: This composition derives from earlier illustrations of a hunting incident involving Jahangir. In the original, a lion is mauling a hunter, and Jahangir from the back of the elephant kills the lion with a lance (Skelton (1969); Falk (1978), no.16).
