Inscribed in gold cartouche above in Persian: ‘tasvir-i husn’ (a picture of beauties); numbered 51 in Persian inventory note.
Gouache with gold; on an album page with inner blue gilt-decorated border and outer margin of gilt-sprinkled pink paper.
168 by 118 mm; page 403 by 276 mm.
Three ladies are on a terrace with a floral carpet; the two on the right sit in gold chairs, one with a baby in her arms, the third teaches a second baby to walk on the left. There is a blue sky with grey clouds above.
