Numbered 47 in Persian inventory note; the note was repeated at the top of the border, but is now obliterated.
Gouache with gold; on an album page with gold and oxidised silver borders; outer border of grey paper added.
305 by 210 mm; page 440 by 290 mm.
A lady and her maids visit a group of yogis and yoginis at night; the lady is dressed in a yellow bodice and costume of patterned gold. Her four maids gather close behind her on the left and before them is a clearing in the forest where six yogis and yoginis sit, one holding a green plume, and another a ‘vina.’ A fire burns in the centre before a hut.
