Identified incorrectly on reverse in Persian: ‘Lalit ragini’; a short inscription on the balustrade of the picture is damaged and illegible.
Gouache with gold; on an album page with fawn and gilt-sprinkled borders.
135 by 90 mm; page 266 by 207 mm.
The two ladies are sitting against a bolster wearing transparent drapes; one wears a turban in the style of a boy. There is a doorway behind with a blind drawn up.
