Inscribed on painted surfaces with identifications in English; numbered on reverse in Persian numerals 1-3 and 6-9, indicating the original positions of the three missing subjects Narasimha, Vamana and Kalki avatar’s’ as nos.4, 5 and 10.
Gouache with gold; on uniform album pages with gilt-sprinkled mauve and plain borders (identical to those of Album 46; previously bound in late 18th-century Indian red morocco; a paper label reads:’ Pigot -L 381 - R. Johnson. No.1’6. -100’ Pd Drawings on paper.’
