Tinted drawing of a young dervish and seated youth. The young dervish is an inferior version of J.28, 14, and the style of both figures is that of Muhammadi but with hesitant drawing and colour somewhat roughly applied.
Qazwin style: late sixteenth century (but possibly executed at Bukhara: the youth's discarded turban is of Uzbek type). 17.5 by 9.5 cm (page 24.5 by 16.5 cm).
Background of gold flowers: illuminated corner-pieces and rectangular panel. Margins as J.56, 13. On reverse, a ‘ruba‘i’ in illuminated ‘nasta‘liq’ calligraphy by Muhyi.
