An inscription at bottom in Persian characters: ‘in tasvir-i ghulam riza’ (this [is] a likeness of Ghulam Riza); a second inscription on the left.
Drawing with some gold; three borders of gilt floral decoration.
138 by 120 mm; page 324 by 230 mm.
Reverse: ‘nasta‘liq’ calligraphy within three borders of floral decoration in white and colours; 18th century.
A man with a trimmed black beard, sits on the edge of a couch raising his left arm to hold a pole which supports a canopy which is just visible above.
Note: Perhaps derived from a late sixteenth-century Ahmadnagar original.
