Numbered 13 in Persian inventory note (written twice); inscribed beneath: ‘‘amal-i ram’ (?) ‘das’ (the work of Ram Das).
Lightly coloured drawing; on both sides are gilt floral inner borders with plain outer borders.
71 by 127 mm; page 415 by 288 mm.
Reverse: a quatrain of ‘nasta‘liq’ calligraphy by Muhammad Sharif; 17th century.
A hunting cheetah is blindfolded on an open cart drawn by two bucks. The driver, dressed in pale green, turns to look at the animal. A keeper running behind on the left carries a small fly-whisk.
