Drawing with slight colouring; inner blue border with gilt arabesques, outer gilt-sprinkled border.
143 by 180 mm; page 413 by 283 mm.
A horseman aims an arrow at a wild elephant which savages a hunter. Another hunter up a tree fails to lassoe the companion elephant which escapes to the left while above a huge tusker stands in water up to his middle accompanied by a mate and calf.
Note: In style this drawing and J.67, 18, derive from the Ahmadnagar tradition of the earlier seventeenth century.
