One of two copies (prints 353 and 354) of this subject, taken in the backyard by the glasshouse of the premises at Russell Terrace, Reading. On the left a figure prepares to make a photographic copy of an engraving or painting, while on the right Talbot is seen removing the lens cap from a camera to take a portrait of a seated figure. Intensified print, chemistry floated on paper 198 x 245 mm.
