[Clock Tower and Brew-house, Lacock Abbey.] Photographer: Talbot, William Henry Fox
- Scope & Content:
-
Inscribed in pencil on verso: '8'.
A calotype negative of a view looking diagonally across the stable yard with the clock tower positioned in the centre. In front of the gabled brew-house, which is to the right of the clock tower, there is a stationary carriage and to the left several doors to the stables are fully opened. There is a significant amount of chemical staining but it is probable that this negative was used to produce Talbot Photo 15 (17), it is particularly light sensitive and should not be viewed under normal light levels.
