Hopes the Expedition will have occupied Bushire. The Cabinet have appointed Outram to command in place of Stalker, hopes Canning will not be offended. More troops are to be sent to Shuster. The Court will do something about the Staff appointments. Comments on Canning observations on the Civil Service, and on Mr [Barnes] Peacock's appointment, and on the Maharajah Duleep Sing's correspondence; the Maharajah wishes to stay in Scotland. Has heard of a petition about the confiscation of the King of Oudh's private property, and the imprisonment of some who gave information about it.
