Suggests these might be conceded to him on condition that he does not adopt an heir to his Territory. Asks if Canning is aware that Europeans who visit Hyderabad are ill treated and spat upon, because the Nizam has so little control over his subjects, suggests that he is not fit to be trusted with a Contingent. Denison would like to see a Madras force instead of the Contingent, and a Citadel erected within cannon shot of Hyderabad to cover the Treasury and military stores, and keep the city in entire subjection.
