The map shows the proposed route for the annual Royal Air Force flight to Gilgit, planned for the end of October 1936, shown by a red dotted line; it is proposed to try a more direct route than that taken previously in order to determine its suitability for civil aircraft. The flight path passes through Hunza, and approaches the borders of Wakhan and Sinkiang. Settlements close to the flight path are indicated on the map
It is noted that the sketch has been obtained from sheets numbers 42 and 43. The map's scale is 1.014 inches = 16 miles.
