The map shows 'Eastern Turkey in Asia' and labels Kurdistan and Persia [Iran] as well as cities on the Mediterranean Sea such as Beirut and Tripoli. The map also shows the head of the Persian Gulf, including Basrah.
The map indicates hydrology and typography. It also shows the Turco-Persian frontier and the Baghdad and Hejaz railways indicated by different coloured lines, explained in the key. The scale is given as '1 inch = 52 miles' and the map indicates it was prepared by 'A.M. Anderson, India Office, March 1915'.
