A copy of a letter from Brigadier-General John Malcolm, Envoy of the Supreme Government of India to Persia [Iran], to the Secret Committee of the Court of Directors of the East India Company, dated 4 August 1810, enclosing a copy of dispatch addressed to them dated 15 July 1810 (not included in this item) and copies of correspondence between Malcolm and the following: Sir Harford Jones, British Envoy Extraordinary to Persia; Neil Benjamin Edmonstone, Chief Secretary to the Government of India (which includes a translated copy of a letter from the King [Shah] of Persia [Fath-‘Ali Shāh Qājār] to Lord Minto, Governor-General of Bengal); and Lord Minto.
