A copy of a letter from Sir Harford Jones, British Envoy Extraordinary to Persia [Iran], to Isaac Morier, British Consul-General at Constantinople [Istanbul]. Jones states that he is enclosing copies of letters dated 15 December 1809 and a packet addressed to the Chairman and Secret Committee of the Court of Directors of the East India Company (not included in this item). Jones also states that 350,000 Constantinople piasters should be paid on the account mentioned in the enclosed letters to the bearer of the letter, Meerza Ameen [Mīrzā Amīn], and that Morier should obtain a receipt for the money.
The verso of folio 2 states that it was received on 21 December 1810.
