Copy of a letter from Sir Harford Jones, HM Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Persia [Iran], to Sir George Barlow, Governor of Madras, dated 4 April 1810. The letter reports the presentation of a sabre to Lieutenant Henry Willock, and the bestowal of the Order of the Sun [Order of the Lion and the Sun] upon two other members of the escort of HM Mission to the Court of Tohran [Tehran] by the Prince Royal [Crown Prince of Persia], Abbas Mirza.
The letter was enclosed in Jones's letter to the Secret Committee of the Court of Directors of the East India Company of 30 May 1810, and was received on 4 October 1810.
