Copy of a letter from HM Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Persia [Iran], Sir Harford Jones, to Stephen Babington, in charge of the Residency at Bushire, of 9 September 1810. The letter concerns the apprehension of a French courier, Jean Robbio, at Bushire. Jones expresses his regret that Babington had acted without informing him, and recommends in future that he apply to the Government of Bushire to detain any foreign agents, and also to keep the British 'Minister at the Court' informed, to avoid any suggestion of British impropriety.
The letter was enclosed in Jones's Dispatch No. 23, which was received on 6 February 1811.
