This map, printed by the War Office in July 1912, depicts the Turco-Persian Frontier in the vicinity of the towns of Hawizeh, Basrah and Mohammerah. The map indicates other settlements, hydrology, vegetation and areas of cultivation.
The boundary is noted with a line and a corresponding note 'the Persian frontier as locally observed.'
A note reads: 'Compiled from plane-table survey from Hawizeh via Shuaib to Diaji April 12, and existing maps by Surveyor S. Firoz Bakht. Under supervision of Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Percy Cox. Resident Persian Gulf.'
