This blueprint map, showing Bahrain, Qatar, and surrounding areas, is part of the draft oil concession entitled 'The Leased Area. Hawar Isla[n]ds', dated 1939, between Shaikh Sir Hamad bin Isa al Khalifah [Ḥamad bin ‘Īsá Āl Khalīfah], the Ruler of Bahrain, and Petroleum Concessions Limited (folios 97-114).
The map states: 'Enlarged in Land Department. Government of Bahrain'.
The Leased Area that is the subject of the agreement (around the Hawar group of islands) is shown coloured in red on the map.
